5th Annual Soccer jamboree comes to town
Soccer season kicks off August 12 with the the 5th Annual La Hacienda Soccer at the Swamp Jamboree. Beginning at 9 am, the main and band field will be packed with parents and fans alike cheering on their school. Last year, the Jamboree was filledand patrons were treated to a fantastic Saturday afternoon of soccer. Coach Jonathan Jacobs of Hobbton and Coach Brad Spell of Clinton have headed this jamboree for the last five years to get fans and players from the Sampson County excited about the upcoming fall soccer season. As of writing this, twelve teams from the surrounding counties are participating in the event. The teams involved are:

Lakewood
Union
Hobbton
Princeton
Pender
James Kenan
Spring Creek
CB Aycock
Triton
South Johnston
Like last year, each team will play three 40 minute scrimmages in the Jamboree. Concessions and T-shirts will be available and for sale. Entry fee is $8.
