After releasing her book on leadership and faith in 2019, Dr. Jacqueline Howard is excited about having her work available in Downtown Clinton.
Howard’s “Leading God’s Way” is now at Thee Christian Book Store, 120 Fayetteville St., Clinton. As the founder of Moving On with Coaching (MOWC), she’s grateful for the opportunity presented by Frank Thompson, owner of the store.
“When we talk about the different styles of leadership, I show them that there’s no perfect type of style,” Howard said. “You have to incorporate who you are. God created us all individually and we have our core beliefs.”
The book emphasizes the word RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service and Excellence). “Leading God’s Way” features stories from the Bible, which are connected with the lessons about how to treat people.
“We are to treat people with respect and integrity and we’re supposed to show that ourselves,” Howard said. “We’re supposed to serve and everything that we do should be done with a spirit of excellence. If you use those core beliefs in leadership, that means you’re going to create an environment that conducive to the growth of people.”
She added that another purpose of the book is to help people see themselves.
“Sometimes you think you’re one way and sometimes as a leader, you don’t want to ask people what they think of your leadership,” Howard said. “But the book asks you to question yourself.”
Howard is also offering training and consulting sessions are also being offered by Howard. The Life Coach created MOWC with a mission to help women embrace uniqueness and improve their communities through faith. The organization recently started “Stepping Into Your GREATness” a seminar focused on leadership development. MOWC also hosts its annual Women’s Christian Retreat, where similar motivational sessions are held. The event is coming to Myrtle Beach, S.C., in 2020.
